Physiotherapy for children and adolescents focuses on the assessment, treatment, and management of conditions affecting movement, development, posture, strength, and coordination in young people. Treatment is tailored to each child’s age, ability, and individual needs to support healthy growth, physical function, and participation in daily activities, school, and sport.
Paediatric physiotherapy can help with sports injuries, developmental delays, postural concerns, joint or muscle pain, coordination difficulties, and rehabilitation following injury or surgery. Treatment may include exercise therapy, movement training, balance and coordination activities, education, and advice for both children and parents.
